Advantages of aerogel insulation blanket over traditional insulation materials

Traditional insulation materials are divided into three categories: organic foams, inorganic foams and fiber products.

Problems with traditional materials:

1.Organic foams are easy to burn, could not resist high temperature.

2.Inorganic foams are easily weathered and fragile, low in strength but high in thermal conductivity.

3.Take rock wool as an example for fiber products. Rock wool will become powdery and hollowing once mixed with water or alkali, which is unsafe and shortens product’s lifespan.

The advantages of aerogel blanket: low thermal conductivity, thin profile, space saving, superior insulation performance, inorganic and incombustible.
